Reiki I/II Certification

First and Second Degree Reiki Classes

February 3rd & 4th, 2018
9am - 5pm
Day 1:
First Degree Reiki teaches basic techniques that are easily learned by anyone interested in focusing on self-healing and/or working with others. The class provides Reiki I Attunement, Reiki I Certificate, manual, in-depth instruction and practice time.
You will learn: • Usui hand positions • Introduction to chakra balancing • Scanning, beaming, protecting and clearing energy • Preparing yourself to conduct a Reiki session • Creating a sacred space • Reiki self-treatment • Reiki sessions for others • Administering a complete healing session
Day 2:
The Second Degree Reiki attunement magnifies the First Degree Reiki attunement and stimulates healing at a higher level. The class provides Reiki II Attunement, Reiki II Certificate, manual, in-depth instruction and practice time.
You will learn: • Reiki Symbols • Specific uses for the symbols • Distance Healing • Mental and Emotional Healing • The Subtle Bodies (Aura) • Hand placement for specific imbalances
Class times are 9am - 5pm and offer practical application, along with the opportunity to practice and discuss all curriculum topics.
New student investment per class is $175.00. Or, $300 when you sign up for both -- a $50 savings!
Students who are Level I certified are welcome to sign up for the second degree a la cart.

After completing Reiki I & II and receiving your attunements, please consider attending our Reiki Shares at Silver Birch
in Farmington HIlls, MI. We meet the second Thursday of the month from 7 - 9pm. It's an excellent opportunity to give and receive a treatment, learn from other practitioners and reach a deeper level of practice.

Thai Massage is part of the ancient Thai healing system developed over 2,500 years ago and uses a combination of Pranayama breathing techniques, Thai yoga stretches and rhythmic compression to achieve comprehensive, holistic, and healing bodywork.
In this 30 hour training you will learn a two hour Thai Massage flow from start to finish. The class covers puja, intuitive healing, assisted yoga stretches, acupressure points, reflexology, compression, anatomy, and 10 major Sen energy lines focused on during Thai Massage.
Whether you are a massage therapist, yoga teacher, or lovers of bodywork, this course will deepen your understanding of the body and the people you connect with daily.

Trauma Informed Outreach Training

The Connection Coalition (formerly known as Yoga Gangsters) certification is for anyone who would like to provide outreach yoga programming at schools, shelters, rehab facilities, or through other non- profit organizations.
Working with these populations requires specific skills and awareness so that you can connect with the youth through yoga while providing messages of empowerment, teaching self respect, self awareness and self control.
This 15-hour certification is taught by Jennifer Cousineau, on behalf of Connection Coalition (501c3).
This course will cover: DIVERSITY
  • Intro to trauma and how it is held in the body
  • 4 types of students
  • showing up and speaking authentically
  • appropriate touch
  • classroom sequencing, lesson plans & practice teaching - privilege & access
Connection Coalition offers programming throughout the country and has connected with more than 17k kids and has trained more than 1700 volunteer teachers. We at CoCo are always seeking emerging leaders in existing and new markets who share the desire to collaborate with youth organizations so as to provide access to yoga, meditation and mindfulness.
Certified yoga teachers are welcome as well as yoga lovers who want to connect (yoga teachers certification is NOT required to join our team for volunteer programming).
Training Facilitator:

Jennifer Cousineau Based in Lansing Michigan Jennifer has 10 years’ experience working with Homeless and Runaway Youth. She works full time managing a 14 bed shelter in Lansing MI, and also teaches yoga in the area at studios and with other organizations. Jen pulls from her decade of experience working with at risk teens to lead the CoCo volunteer certification training, facilitating discussions on engagement strategies with youth, the impact of trauma on behavior, and how to structure classes with diverse populations.
