Yoga Nidra

Restorative Yoga

Yoga Basics

Yoga Nidra also known as yogic sleep or sleep with awareness is an ancient practice that is rapidly gaining popularity in the West. It is intended to induce full-body relaxation and a deep meditative state of consciousness. We will begin with a 20 minute gentle/restorative yoga practice followed by 40 minutes of Yoga Nidra. All welcome!
This class is appropriate for all students seeking the benefits of a relaxing, gentle and therapeutic practice. Restorative yoga improves range of motion and joint mobility, reduces pain and the effects of stress.  We utilize yoga props to support the body allowing you to be comfortable in every pose. No prior yoga experience required for this gentle practice.
Yoga Basics is an introduction to the physical practice of yoga (asana) and breathing (pranayama). This class provides detailed instructions focusing on proper alignment, including modifications for all needs. Appropriate for those with little or no experience, as well as practitioners interested in reconnecting to the fundamentals of the practice.

ALL LEVELS

Appropriate for all skill levels. These classes will incorporate poses that are appropriate for beginners but will also give options for those ready to challenge themselves in their practice.  Modifications and variations are offered accordingly to fit the needs of the student.

Candlelight Yin

Flow/Yin Fusion

Shala Flow

In yin yoga we target the connective tissues, along with the energetic systems of the body, bringing the body into balance and increasing it’s natural range of motion. Poses are done while seated or lying down and are held in stillness for 3-5 minutes; encouraging breath awareness and stillness of the mind while surrendering to the pose. This practice will leave you feeling refreshed, renewed and restored.
Flow/Yin Fusion is a balanced practice including a meditative flowing sequence complimented by Gentle Yin stretches. This class is a perfect balance of playfulness and mindfulness, leaving you feeling balanced and refreshed.
Shala Flow I is our level 1 “House” vinyasa. This class is designed to improve strength and flexibility as you move through a slower paced sequence focusing on proper alignment. Shala Flow I is suitable for those comfortable with Sun Salutation A, standing poses, basic backbends and building strength for more advanced poses.
Women Only Flow/Yin Fusion is offered  Wednesday mornings at 10-11am.

INTERMEDIATE

Want to step it up a notch and have a full body "Work In"? Then these Intermediate classeses are for you. We begin to approach more challenging asana; including arm balances and inversions. Never tried an arm balance or inversion before? That's ok! Begin where you're at and try something new! Previous yoga experience encouraged.

Power Yoga

Ashtanga - Short Form

Taught in a heated room, Power Yoga will invigorate your body as you flow through a detoxifying sweat in this high-energy class. This class Suitable for students seeking to take their asana practice to the next level.
This class follows the same basic principles of the Ashtanga Yoga system in a modified/shorter duration. It emphasizes the breath (Ujjayi pranayama), focused gazing (Drishti), and dynamic movements (Vinyasa flow) that connect the poses (Asana).
